📐 How to Change Canvas Size for Social Media & Print

Using the wrong canvas size is one of the most common design mistakes. It leads to blurry exports, cropped content, and wasted time reformatting. This guide shows you exactly how to set the right workspace size in CapybaraLand for every platform and purpose.

Wrong canvas size ruins your design — here's how to fix it.

Why Canvas Size Matters

Every platform has a recommended image size. Using the correct dimensions ensures your design looks sharp, nothing gets cropped, and file sizes stay optimised.

Step 1 — Open Canvas Settings

In CapybaraLand, click the canvas area (outside any object) or go to File → Canvas Settings. The size panel will open on the right side.

CapybaraLand includes presets for the most popular use cases. Click a preset to instantly resize your canvas, or enter custom width and height values.

  • A5 (flyer): 1748 × 2480 px @ 300 dpi
  • Letter (US): 2550 × 3300 px @ 300 dpi
  • Business Card: 1050 × 600 px @ 300 dpi

📄 CV & Resume Size

For a professional CV, use A4 portrait (2480 × 3508 px). Set the resolution to 300 dpi before exporting to PDF for crisp printing.

Step 3 — Apply and Adjust Your Design

After changing the canvas size, CapybaraLand will reposition your existing elements to the new canvas. Drag and resize elements as needed to fill the space.

💡 Pro tip: Always set your canvas size before you start designing. Resizing after you have placed elements can shift layouts unexpectedly.
